FYI, most victims are killed by their abuser before a trial.

The federal laws intended to prevent access to firearms by domestic abusers have significant limitations:

!) The lack of a requirement for a background check before every sale of a gun, including sales by unlicensed, private sellers, enables many domestic abusers to obtain the firearms they use against their victims.

2) domestic violence affects persons in relationships that fall outside the protections of federal law. For example, dating partners are not within the federal prohibitions unless the partners are/were cohabitating as spouses and/or have a child in common.

3) The federal prohibitions on firearm possession by domestic abusers do not ensure that firearms that are already in the possession of an abuser are removed.

4) In order for background checks to prevent abusers from obtaining guns, states must report abusers who fall within prohibited categories to the proper databases.

Domestic abuse uses anything, and everything, at the aggressors disposal. Even if you had no guns, hammers, knives, belts, or whatever . . . the abuse would still take place with a fist or a kick. The problem isn't the gun or hammer or hands - it is the person who would use these tools to deliver abuse.

I don't know about you but I can run away from a hammer easier than rapidly firing bullets! I would also be safer to go out to public places.

Domestic violence can become public matter in the workplace

So your solution is what? Pass more ineffective laws?

You can take the gun out of the equation, but you can't eliminate the bad boy groupie mentality that draws these women to prison inmates, illiterate hood rats and violent drug addicts.

Without brain dead women actively seeking out the lowest form of sewer slime to attach themselves to, there is no domestic violence.
Yes. Women who remain in abusive relationships are far more likely to be killed than those who get out at the first sign that he is a threat.

True. However, in your opinion, what is that first sign?

How about passing effective laws such as other countries are able to do.

Background checks are useless if people are allowed to privately buy and sell guns.

Typical liberal agenda, blame the thing not the person.
Though they are inherently evil, they say they believe every one is inherently good. But then their values of what good is are distorted across the board.
IMO.
