No, I never said I agreed with the other side, I said I agreed with the process. There are still ways to politically fight against something that effects other people's rights. Gay marriage is a great example seeing that we now have 16 states that have legalized it and that number continues to grow.

Default Oregon idiot politician Greenlick wants to make tobacco a controlled substance

Of course he's a Big Government advocate. He thinks government should tell everyone how to live their lives. More government is good government.

Greenlick wants adults to require doctor’s permission to obtain tobacco by making it a controlled substance (HB 2077).

As a former smoker who quit when the taxes became, IMO, too burdensome, I am all for it.
In fact, I think tobacco and all tobacco products should be completely outlawed! No possession, no selling, no buying, no growing, no use allowed at all.
At the same time, STOP the so-called "War On Drugs". It has cost billions of dollars and uncountable lives, and has accomplished nothing. Legalize all the junk, and if some dope wants to use dope, let him buy it at the DRUG store.
Of course, the current drug restrictions for certain activities and occupations will remain! If you want to be a junkie, you won't be able to be a truck driver, or a pilot, or a nurse, or a doctor, or an airplane mechanic, or...

We don't need the idiots in government telling us what we can eat, drink or smoke. Adults should be making those decisions for themselves.

That works for me, good for Greenlick's efforts....but is there a reason why you are posting an article that is almost a year old?
