The word bipartisan, like the word compromise, is a dirty word to the Tea Party children who control the House right now. The mere uttering of either word sends them into temper tantrums worthy of a two year old.

No, they accurately describe them in terms these democrats and the liberal media can understand and later use to whine back at them.

I guess you don't understand the concept of "negotiation." I'll explain it for you.

In a negotiation, each side starts the debate asking for way more than they expect to get, and then each side gives a little during each round of discussions until a compromise is reached.

In the past few years, the Democrats have not shown any interest in negotiating. Any bill coming out of the house was flatly rejected, with no discussion, no negotiation. The Democrats have refused to consider anything coming from the house, which makes the Democrats the true "party of no."

Anyone that thinks that the Republicans expected the first draft of their bills to pass is an idiot.

Clinton was able to work with a Republican house that impeached him. It's obvious to anyone who's paying attention that it's possible to work with a body that is actively working against you. Obama and the current office holders in the senate clearly have no interest in compromise. "My way or the highway" has been their modus operandi since the '08 election.

It's crystal clear that the goal of the current administration is to further divide the country, not bring it together. It's a shame, too, because as the first black president, there was so much potential for him to bridge so many of the divides we have in this country. Instead, he chose to drive us apart even more. And look at us - we're allowing it to work.

And yes, power will shift again. It always does, unless the democrats try and rig the game again.
And you think the Republicans wouldn't use the idea that the moment they took power in the Senate? Think about it, if you were the minority party and you filibustered everything thing under the sun, when you became the majority would you want the minority party do what you just did the entire time you were in the minority?

I have been wanting to see Reid do this since 2010.

How can they? Harry Reid looks to the Liar Obama to see if he wants that bill to be brought up for debate or not. If the Liar says NO, then Reid buries the bill and it never gets debated. The Senate Dems are practicing obfuscation, and not doing their duty for which they were elected.

So, you appear to be saying that this Republican option is a good idea and the Democrats, as usual, took an idea from the other party and made it their own.

Indicating that the Democrats have a problem coming up with ideas of their own. At least workable ideas.

But we all knew that.

How was the election rigged? And please be specific.

Actually, nobody needs to rig anything. The GOP will do itself in. The party split is already opening. If the extremist tea party wing does not get its act together and become magically rational, there is simply no way a republican can get elected. Moderates cannot get through the republican primary process if they believe in science or compromise, and an extremist simply cannot win the general election because they scare sane people. Centrist independents and moderates decide the general elections. A Ted Cruz or Rand Paul are sure losers. Paul Ryan was too extreme to win his own state--you think it is a coincidence he looks reasonable in this budget deal? He wants a future in mainstream politics. Yes power shifts, but a radical will not be elected--the only republicans who can win are called RINOs by half of their party.

The war on Business by the Democrats, is the perfect reason for 70 million to be dropped from their insurance, right before election time. Watch what that causes. Play chess and make a move without thinking about the entire board and you could lose your queen and king in one move.
Unfortunately we can all expect Dear Leader to use Executive Order to push the implementation date back to after the election date. He has done this before...even violating his own pet law.
