So they weren't forced to dig THIS up.
Wrong picture, wrong garden, wrong state.

Were these rules enacted by the voters themselves, or by their elected politicians? Zoning is a tool often used for social engineering by politically powerful minorities to the detriment of a politically weak majority.

There are issues like this going on all over the country, that fire up some folk to wish for the collapse of the economy.
If for nothing less than to see the demise of the arrogance and ignorance of those wishing a nanny state and big government.

Having been in poverty before ,I would not wish a total collapse , the devastation would be exponential and devastating on a national level. A lot of people are going to die needlessly.

It is hard to believe that people can be so cold to one another, especially those that make an effort to grow food for them selves and demonstrate to the ignorant where food comes from.
It also floors me that people buy a home next to an airport and then have the nerve to complain about it.
Which part is hard to reason?
City people visit a mountain area and want to live there but in stead of blending, that bring their city ways with them and ruin the place it was for every one else that was there before them.
Where is that right ?
Yet we see it done all the time .
I see it as an abuse of a democrat nature, the litigious deep pocket lawsuit abuse of maneuvering that both drives business out, but drives governments to compromise to special interest groups .
They don't serve the public but their own special agenda, rights with out earning respect.
These are the greedy that take advantage of every government hand out and work to create new ones ,unwilling to take responsibility for them self . Blaming things and every one else for their situation.
I had been in poverty, I know what it's like .
I also got work and took care of my family and am a responsible citizen having never taken one dime from social services nor unemployment .
You can't BS me . I been there.
The conservative does not choose to abuse.

If you read the article you'd see that photo is there and referenced as an example of an "organic garden".

What government entities? This is a community ordinance voted on and enacted by the couple's neighbors. In my city, you are not allowed to park a car in your driveway for more than three consecutive days. I am not allowed to have a fence except around my pool or around a veggie garden. I am only allowed to water on certain days (except the veggie garden). It's city ordinance, not big government stepping in. Down the road, the local community does not allow colorful Christmas lights, blow-ups, or "white-light LED" displays. So what? Rules are everywhere and sometimes our own interests run counter to the rules. That's life.

I had to stop selling my eggs to the public because of new laws.
I still sell them but I had to stop dragging my "Fresh Eggs $2/doz" sign up the driveway and advertise.
I have to do it via word of mouth now.
That's because I don't have a refrigeration unit the likes of the supermarkets in my kitchen.
The government wants to protect you though so all is good. Go pay your $4.50 for CAFO "organic" instead
because I would poison you with fresh eggs I keep in my fridge.

I'm generally of that school of thought that if I move somewhere else to try and blend in. And yes to move near an airport and then b*** and moan about it? What do you expect? I also have no issue with people wanting to grow my own food. I live in a condo which is in an HOA, and my next door neighbor grows his own food. Stuff like tomatoes, garlic, peppers, chives...ect...ect... I believe that technically he is not supposed to, but the man has a green thumb. He also mixes a ton of perennials that flower at different times of the year, so it's a perfect blend. If someone complained, and being that we're friends, I'd go to bat for him. Regardless of rules (some were meant to be broken) I can't stand busy body neighbors.
