The system is already being overwhelmed:

Undocumented LA County Parents On Pace To Receive $650M In Welfare Benefits « CBS Los Angeles

Quote:
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A projected $650 million in welfare benefits will be distributed to illegal alien parents in 2013, county officials said Monday.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich announced the latest figures from the Department of Public Social Services, which showed more than $376 million in CalWORKs benefits and food stamps combined have been distributed through July to illegal alien parents for their native-born children.
Approximately $54 million in welfare payments are issued each month, consisting of nearly $20 million in CalWORKs and $34 million in food stamp issuances, according to the data.

An estimated 100,000 children of 60,000 undocumented parents receive aid in Los Angeles County, according to Antonovich, who said this year’s projections — up about $1 million from the nearly $53 million in total benefits issued in July 2012 — underscore the economic impact of the nation’s immigration debate.

“When you add the $550 million for public safety and nearly $500 million for healthcare, the total cost for illegal immigrants to county taxpayers exceeds $1.6 billion dollars a year,” Antonovich said in a statement. “These costs do not even include the hundreds of millions of dollars spent annually for education.”

In an interview Obama corrected himself when he said there were 46 million uninsured. the commentator asked if that covered illegal aliens and O said no and ammended his figure to 36 million.

Then again who can believe what comes out of obama's mouth?

Actually prisoners will make up a large 'captive' population of obamacarers.

No person capable of critical thinking would believe anything that comes out of Obama's mouth. I've never seen a US president lie with the frequency that this clown does.

No, no, no. Reagan signed that bill only because Congress was supposed to secure the borders. They did not.

And there IS one more thing!!! Once the current illegals are legalized (and that is the Democrat plan, to legalize most of the illegals which I think number far more than 12 million), and these people are on Medicaid and Obamacare.....they will no longer have to work. And then they will have to bring in even more illegals to replace the current illegals who are now not working and collecting government benefits at home.

Once the illegals are legalized, or even get permanent residency (you don't have to actually be a citizen to get welfare benefits), they will stop working and sit at home and collect welfare just like those Obama voters in Chicago. You notice the liberals always clamor for more welfare, more benefit, a higher MINIMUM wage. They don't advocate for the creation of higher paying jobs because they would require having less unions and regulations.

I think this nexus between Obamacare and illegal immigration simply means we must fight hard against BOTH. Illegal immigrant amnesty compounds the devastation that Obamacare is ALREADY causing with our higher premiums and taxes and lost jobs. At the same time expanded Medicaid and Obamacare will encourage more illegal immigration to take advantage of the more generous system, even without a Dream Act.

I think Obama purposely did Obamacare care first, because if he had legalized all the illegals first, Obamacare might not have passed given the staggering upfront costs with the # of people elgible for Obamacare and Medicaid. Now he can treat illegal immigration as a separate battle and try to give amnesty to them. I think Obamacare coming first has also emboldened the people striking for a $15 minimum wage as with more generous benefits they no longer really care about being fired.

A rather POOR deflection. Too bad you can't argue this thread based on facts.

Here is a fact for you... Obamacare was designed to fail in order to usher in single payer.

Overwhelming the healthcare system will be awesome let alone the fact that there are no jobs now and I can't wait until they start taking blue collar jobs they can't take now. This is going to be fun to watch.
