Seasons Greetings! I saw something the other day that said it so well. Evangelicals should be more concerned about putting Christ back in Christianity than in putting Christ back in Christmas.
True story here. Someone in my town wrote a book titled Catholicism in (my home town) discussing the history of our 3 catholic churches and 2 catholic schools with photos. One of the pictures is taken at the town Christmas parade in 1959 and the float that was built by one of the Catholic schools. On the back of that float in large letters is this. MERRY XMAS. Was this the beginning of the war on Christmas and was the war begun by Catholics?
Maybe they didn't have room for the full word on the float?
The thing is, an X represents a cross. Since Christ was crucified on a cross, how would that be starting a war on Christ-mas?
I'd blame progressives with their anal PC tendencies. They are to blame for changing Christmas to Winter Holiday, and Easter to Spring Break. They have removed Christmas carols from school venues. Atheists fight to have public displays removed; and when they lose they erect beer can poles
displaying their contempt and showing how classless they can be.
I'd say that using XMas is the least thing to blame.
Hanukkah is not a national holiday nor a major Jewish holiday. In Israel they barely pay attention to Hanukkah but in the west Jews try to make a big deal out of it to be included and have something to
do over Christmas season.

This is partially nonsense. Both Indian religions (Hinduism and Buddhism) are philosophical in nature with greater cultural emphasis that recognize that other religions exist. In fact, in Hinduism, Jesus Christ exists as a prophet.
