Holy crap!

I must have stumbled into the christianity forum.

I thought this was the P&OC forum and wasn't expecting to be preached at.

My mistake.

Well, Happy Holidays anyway.

I guess all your churches, your radio stations, your TV shows, God being on your money, in your politics, and in your courtrooms isn't enough.
Poor persecuted Christians.

Seasons Greetings! I saw something the other day that said it so well. Evangelicals should be more concerned about putting Christ back in Christianity than in putting Christ back in Christmas.

Maybe they didn't have room for the full word on the float?

The thing is, an X represents a cross. Since Christ was crucified on a cross, how would that be starting a war on Christ-mas?

I'd blame progressives with their anal PC tendencies. They are to blame for changing Christmas to Winter Holiday, and Easter to Spring Break. They have removed Christmas carols from school venues. Atheists fight to have public displays removed; and when they lose they erect beer can poles

displaying their contempt and showing how classless they can be.

I'd say that using XMas is the least thing to blame.

I think you hit the nail on the head here. We really need to realize that Christmas is not so important that it should be a national holiday.

Here's the thing.
Had you been born in the Middle East, you would insist that the one true religion is Islam.
Had you been born in Israel, you would insist the one true religion is Judaism.
Had you been born in India, you would insist the one true religion is Hinduism.
Had you been born in Nepal or Sri Lanka or Thailand, you would insist that Buddhism is the one true religion.

See how that works?

This is partially nonsense. Both Indian religions (Hinduism and Buddhism) are philosophical in nature with greater cultural emphasis that recognize that other religions exist. In fact, in Hinduism, Jesus Christ exists as a prophet.

I love how people who have never studied religion in depth make up nonsense.
