Truly amazing that the liberal media can convince some working class people to viciously hate the ONE group in Washington who wants to reduce the obscene level of taxes they pay.

There is NOTHING about the Tea Party that has anything to do with race. It's about keeping the level of taxes the working class pays to Washington in some sane relation to what "services" the federal government provides. And considering that our federal government now absolutely fails to do the two things that it is supposed to do (defend the borders and regulate trade so that it benefits the nation), it should be taking nothing from the working class.

It was the fourth Bush veto to be overridden by Congress, reports CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller.

No, it's here is the plan for people of age X and here is the plan for people of age Y because the plan of people of age X isn't longterm sustainable but they are too old to convert to a new plan at this point in their lives. But of course you leave all the substance out and twist into something selfish so you can bash conservatives. Intellectual dishonesty at its finest.

So? The bill did not pass with a veto-proof majority before Bush vetoed it. Every President has had vetoes overridden by Congress, and in absolutely every case, those bills did not pass with a veto-proof majority.

If any bill passes Congress with a two-thirds majority in both houses, then it will become law, and there is absolutely nothing the President can do about it.

It passed the House 355-59 and in the Senate with unanimous consent.

That isn't the argument.

is certainly going to happen.

I don't see how anyone who is not trying to portray the tea party as bigoted older people on social programs being used/astroturfed by larger political interests would post this article....but it is your choice. To me it seems like it hurts the tea party platform to champion an article like this.

Is this going to be like the time the tea party didn't realize that tea bagging was a sex act before stating they were proud tea baggers?
^^^^^ When all else fails... Tell bigger lies.

There is NOTHING true about what you posted, NOR the people you quoted. NOTHING.

While there certainly are some people active in the TP movement who are on SS, they're a very tiny segment of it. The REAL TP movement is in the 30 to 55 age range, above average education, a higher percentage of business owners and professionals than average, and are NEVER seen anywhere on TV or in media. These people are invisible to the media, because they are not part of a party, nor any organization. They simply have gotten involved where they had not before, and it is a spontaneous and proper reaction to the events of the last half dozen years.

Your quote is from someone who goes to public events and then has the gall to tell us that the people who have the time for "protesting" or going to events is the actual TP movement. It is not.

Why did you allow yourself to get hooked with this bogus argument? Those on S.S. have paid their entire working lives for it, why shouldn't they expect to get it?
