Nothing sadder than watching someone on city data celebrate finding junk insurance just so they can save a buck.

Junk health plans.

Riiight!!! Lets see, I got the identical plan I had before your idiot hero lied and had it cancelled, you know the one I liked and worked for me. It still works for me and I pay 75% less than the exchanges. And my deductible is $1500, not the over $6000 on Obamaliescare law. I just did away with maternity (I am a man), also contraceptives, in short all that crap the law says I have to carry but don't need.

Hardly junk, and I pay less. And I am covered for one year less a day. 24 hours later, renew for another 364 days.

I actually think its a good idea for those who fall outside the 400% fpl and 9.5% of income otherwise they might not have any insurance. I think the numbers are going to be pretty small that will sign up for these plans. I would agree though someone who is going to save just a few dollars a month with a low annual cap doesnt make sense. For example on auto insurance I have always had a $300,000 policy instead of the cut rate $50,000 policy which is a couple of dollars cheaper.

Many bad stories from family and friends. We haven't signed up for a specific plan because the gov website doesn't say how much the subsidies will cover. We can't afford even the poor coverage of the Bronze plan without a good sized subsidy. I've talked to people who have given up on trying to get coverage and will take the penalty this year. Lots of employer plans have gone up in premiums and deductibles and don't cover medications that are much needed to function normally. And then stuff like this happens for those that were happy Obamacare was coming and could get insurance (did I mention for the entire state of Texas Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas is the ONLY company on the exchange)

"

It's just another example of how this garbage legislation is affecting people personally. Why is the government being so quiet or fuzzy about these subsidies?
I'm glad my employer is privately insured, we do not have to fall under federal control, but I'm sure the tyrants will change that and come after us too.

I fully expect the idiot in the WH to make it mandatory for everyone to go on the exchanges. Everyone as in rich people on down. That will be the only way to fund this abortion. With wealth redistribution.

Why would it be any differnent for a healthy young adult? By the time they pay the premiums and the deductible they are better off just sticking a couple hundred aside.

Hm, who did your friend vote for? If it was Obama, then they got what they asked for and I have no sympathy for them.
