While I don't condone shooting the man, all evidence reported seems to support that the shooting victim was being anti-social, arrogant, immature and provoking an old man.
No excuse to shoot him or even lay a finger on him by any means, but anti-social behavior like that alleged to have been done by the victim, as a whole, does more to destory the everyday quality of life for average Americans than every shooting combined.
Yeah, texting during the previews for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club is really worse for American overall than murder...
Who brings a gun to a movie theater anyway? "Got my keys, wallet, and my gun. Good to go!" I guess he wanted to protect himself from those ruthless pre-movie texters.
That is just pathetic! I bet this ahole is feeling mighty guilty murdering someone for using his cell phone in a movie theatre. Republican, no doubt!
Rest in peace to this young man that lost his life and my condolences to his family.
The guy that shot him was 71 years, old. He had a full life, a family, etc. The guy he shot was much younger but hell bent on ignoring the old guy. My question is... Was it really worth it to be a jerk and have your phone out? No. Who won? It sure wasn't the younger guy.
Ok so they were annoying. I stopped going to theaters years ago because people are always annoying. There are annoying people everywhere. Crying babies, people talking, cell phones. But this happened because some trigger happy jerk thought he needed a gun at an upscale movie theater at 2 pm in the afternoon. Let's hear all the gun nuts talk about how only irresponsible people shoot people. This was a retired cop! Guess he thought the popcorn counter might be robbed. This is why guns should be banned from public places. This guy better get 2nd degree murder and attempted murder, as the wife was shot also but was only injured. A three year old will grow up without a father because an idiot shot his father for using his cell phone. Now it is not only the mentally ill shooting strangers--it is gun owners with anger management issues.
Never let a tragedy go to waste right? Can't let the blood get cold before you start wailing for a ban.
So you think he was a responsible gun owner, is that what you're trying to get at? Brilliant. It's amazing that now people like you want to paint cops as perfect citizens who everyone should emulate, until the next cop shooting then people like you try to paint all of them as power made storm troopers.

Wait, you are really going to try and justify this?
Oh a mentally unstable/senile irrelevant old guy, most likely in his last days. Of course...
Well atleast the world most likely will not have to deal with him any longer.

Who WON?!
The murdered man's 3 year old certainly didn't.
It's astounding to me that people think this is a joke. Stunning, actually. Especially coming from all the good supposed Christ followers on this board making light of such a tragic tragic waste. Jesus wept. Literally.
