A former aide to U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander was found dead in Maryland, just weeks after the former staffer's arrest on child pornography charges, sheriff's officials said Friday.

Loskarn had been allowed to live with his parents while he awaited trial on charges of possession and attempted distribution of child pornography. The 35-year-old also was required to be electronically monitored.
Family members reported finding Loskarn unresponsive in the basement where he had been living, according to the sheriff's office.

Is the significance of this because he was a former staffer to a Senator or a Republican Senator?

Men into child porn are in all walks of life. How does one weed this out in a job interview, in absence of a prior conviction?

So, your point, and reason for posting this is ...

Oh, wait... he was a REPUBLICAN! Of course that was it. Otherwise, who cares?

Agreed. I don't care what side of the aisle they are on, these purveyors of porn are despicable.

They are still someone's child and possibly brother and husband. It's an addiction. Or what will you say if the prevailing view becomes "they were born that way" through genetic heritability? Does being born that way mean nature and evolution had an "intelligent design" with an end goal in mind as one oft hears repeated by those that are atheist and agnostic yet have little clue they in effect support Intelligent Design?

Genes are passed on, theoretically, if they confer some survival advantage in a population. What survival advantage does pedophilia genes confer in the United States? Helps to reduce population growth like homosexuality via Intelligent Design?

Pedophilia is immoral. And a grave sin. However, not all of them are evil people. Many may be talented, tax paying, and good people in other areas of their lives yet be in the clutches of an immoral addiction. But a great man has been quoted thousands of years ago saying, "Let he who has never sin throw the first stone."

I know a number of people that were sexually molested as children. They often (not always) grow up to be functioning adults with lots of happiness and girlfriends and boyfriends. There lives are far less "ruined" than the deformed child taunted, rejected, and grows up to never get any p***y as an adult.

And spare me the appeal to convict justice and "high morals." I know plenty of felons and excons. They often strike me as so desiring to kill pedophiles not because they have high morals but the exact opposite, that they like to view themselves as some true Christ-like purveyors of justice that stand morally higher than the rest of the law abiding society due to their "code of honor and right and wrong."

Given modern USA likes to claim all people go to heaven because God is all cotton candy and would never put someone in hell for all eternity... then I guess this gentleman is now living in heaven with supernatural powers (as all saints have, as everyone in heaven is a saint) and therefore has been rewarded by God with a far greater life than anyone on earth has.

Pedophiles--even if they only watch child porn--ought be prosecuted. Not every pedophile needs to be lynched though.

Pedophiles can be teenage boys by the way. Boys not yet 18 and not yet legally adults. So, what if your son found himself getting addicted to child porn and he was 16 or 25 years old? Should the mob of self righteous grab their lynch ropes?

What makes children involved in sex with adults or peers their age of the same sex... want to commit suicide is usually (not always) the extra-animated response they get from society over societal disgust at the sex they were involved in. They know deep in their soul they were victimized by evil. That cognitive notion of them being involved with or victimized by "evil" is what really messes them up in the head.

Pedophilia is evil. And act of evil. Although the pedophiles born in the image of God may not be evil (some of them are--but so was homosexual Jeffery Dhalmer (sp?) and scores of heterosexual serial killers that raped and tortured women).

Good to see this, whether he's R or D. It'll save the taxpayers the cost of a trial and feeding the pervert for 20 years!
