Don't we have a representative form of government? Don't we elect politicians to support OUR views? As I have no choice in Nevada, I registered as a Republic instead of the Independent I feel myself to be. But now that the GOP powers-to-be are taking this approach, how can I continue to even remain registered GOP?

Thanks to Blooger Gunny and his link to the Free Republic, I came across this article. How The GOP Plans To Crush The Tea Party Revolt

I still don't understand the vitriol against the Tea Party. Heck, it's not even a political party. A bunch of common Americans get together to try to voice their views and both the left and right go out of their gourds trying to squash them. Is that was this nation has turned into?

They'll probably declare it is time to water the tree of liberty. I've heard that before.

It started out that way, then got hijacked by the likes of Bachmann, West, Cruz and the like.

Tea party is just a local moved state now moving federal level tax based revolt. Its kind of a natural; no different than the things many are facing personally from easy credit spending in their finances. This recession has brought about a huge debate on wealth sharing started in the mid 60's as far has real results we see now.

The Tea'd Partisans have a lot of gall. How dare they volunteer to be subject citizens, sign up as socialists via FICA, and engage in usury (an abomination) and then act huffy and self righteous.
The chutzpah!
....

The memo went out to all the media outlets to shine the worst light possible, poke fun and marginalize... the braindead swallowed their medicine and the results are seen in this thread.

So far the tea party seems to be doing a decent job of fund raising, I don't think they will go away as easily as the GOP is hoping. Should be fun to watch.

Along with equally unfounded claims of his socialist agenda or Muslim beliefs.
