HUNGER AT HOME: 1 in 4 American Children are Malnourished - ABC News

As many as 17 million children nationwide are struggling with what is known as food insecurity. To put it another way, one in four children in the country is living without consistent access to enough nutritious food to live a healthy life, according to the study, "Map the Meal Child Food Insecurity 2011."

Those hungry children are everywhere, and with the uncertain economy, the numbers are only growing, experts say.

Let us not forget: 3 in 4 children are well fed! Let us focus on the positive.

So what you are saying is that Obamas plan to increase food stamps by hundreds of billions to feed the poor, is a total failure?

Shall we share stories on what WE have done to help the poor? I adopted 2 of them, agreed to not only feed them until I die, but also provide for them, give them shelter, college education..

What have YOU done?

I wish you were my parent. My elderly mother is utterly against feeding me untll she dies. She is also against my still being in college (it is my 34th year), which expense she finds ruinous. It is a constant battle, but I do believe it is her responsibility to feed me until she dies, as well as to shelter me, etc. She keeps saying "Once you hit 60, you're out!"

You adopted children because they were hungry? I am not faulting you or your good intentions, but realistically speaking, not every hungry child is without a family.
