You adopted children because they were hungry? I am not faulting you or your good intentions, but realistically speaking, not every hungry child is without a family.
When children are homeless and their parents are A in jail, and B, drug attics, I'd say there is a very good chance they are hungry.
So long as the victims are not retired white factory workers or very rich plutocrats the Tea Party could care less. Let tehm starve. They should be slaves anyway.
