In Detroit homeowners used to make organizations to make sure black didn't move into their area. You could also make sure your house was never sold to a black person
I will say that being from the state, Michigan is still pretty racist comparatively speaking with other states. It's just that there's a strong union presence and no infatuation with the Religious Right or Tea Party amongst the average citizen such that it is a blue state.
I wouldn't be surprised if other states in the North are like this.
I agree, but I got in a huge, er, discussion with someone on Urban Planning about that. I eventually had to drop it, b/c he wasn't going to. Most of the Hispanics in Colorado, where I live are Mexican-American, which means part Native American and part Caucasian.

Yes.......a cave or an isolated island seems like the optimum area for Driller.............what a sad outlook.
Yes, Driller has to want to live near you even though you clearly have nothing in common. What a sad, narcissistic outlook to think that the entire world has to prefer your presence.
Here is a list of the most segregated metros/cities in the US. Why is the North so much more segregated than the South or West? It seems that as a general rule, the higher the level of segregation.....the more problems of poverty, unemployment and crime.
The north believes in that old saying "Do as I say, not as I do."
Liberals are faux colorblind. They've never met a black or Hispanic vote they didn't like, as long as they don't have to share the same neighborhood.

There are still white neighborhoods and black ones.
BS! Ask any black in the south and they'll say they feel much more desegregated. It's common for southern blacks to feel much less discriminated against. Its the white liberals in the north east who are racialists, having rarely mingled with blacks and Hispanics. They talk the talk, but rarely walk the walk.
I grew up in Gardena, CA... one of the most racially diverse areas in the country. I live on a street that is the main drag into Compton. Some of my best clients were in Compton and Inglewood. Do a search before making a fool of yourself.

Dissimilarity is comparing between white and black, they should be compare with White and all other races...
