I'd be willing to bet that the liberals will gave them a free pass, but heaven help the baker who refuses to bake a cake for a gay couple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Roughly 25 Muslim drivers dispatched to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are refusing to drive cabs adorned with advertising for the region’s upcoming Gay Games, citing religious reasons.
Two of the three companies operating at Ohio's largest airport were informed by the drivers — one-third of the airport’s total fleet — last week that they will no longer participate in the airport’s dedicated taxicab program. The companies, Ace and Yellow Taxi Cab, were told by the drivers that their decision was based on religious reasons, airport spokeswoman Jacqueline Mayo told FoxNews.com.
Ann Gynn, a spokeswoman for the Gay Games, said she believes the protest is an “isolated” case and not indicative of the beliefs held by most residents in Cleveland and Akron, where the Gay Games will be held on Aug. 9-16.
The liberal support for islam is going to be like Eisenhower's appointment of Bill Brennan to the Supreme Court. In 20 years they are going to look back at this as their biggest mistake.
You lose that bet. If you had read the story you posted, the two affected cab companies are looking for replacement drivers. If the protesting drivers haven't been fired, they should be.
Another bet I'll take. While there might be replacement drivers, there is no way in hell those drivers will be fired. The liberal people are just full of you know what of offending Muslims, unlike Christians which they have no problem offending.
Fire them, the sign is not obnoxious.
Last year a Muslim cabbie in Chcago was fired, and fined $1500, for kicking a kissing gay couple out of his cab.
Why are righties so sure they know what the left will think? They keep setting up and knocking down straw men -and don't give a damn about the actual situation except as an opportunity to bash their leftist strawman.
I'm pretty darn liberal, and I have no problem at all offending religious people of any stripe, if I think they are demanding special privileges on account of their religious beliefs.
So lets see if anything happens to them. If by chance they get fired or there's a big protest to get them fired, then I'll admit that I was wrong. But I doubt that's going to happen. This will end up being a non-event.
Considering how deeply opposed conservatives are to gay rights, aren't they going to side with the Muslims on this matter?
