I have little hope because I've seen it where the attention span of a typical millennial is about five seconds.

This is how I see the typical millennial

and it works, they look!

Computers and the intentional dumbing down by the education conglomerate in this country has destroyed any ability to stay focused or think critically. They got em exactly where they want em; in debt to their eyeballs, stupid and unable to think for themselves. "Look, over there, shiny object!"

With everything going on in the world only one thing should matter to the millennial and that is the illegal immigration streaming across our border because the stupid millennial is going to be paying the costs of this for a lifetime. But no, they are focused on gay marriage, what Bush did 12 years ago or the possibility of getting something free from government as long as someone else pays for it.

I work commercial construction management and I remember 1976 when a young man with a high school education could go out and get a job hanging drywall for $4.50/hr which isn't bad when you consider $4.50 is equivalent to $18.85 today. Anyone know anyone that would like a job for $18.85/hr?

But it's tedious hard work in sometimes awful conditions and Connor won't do it because his mommy and daddy have told him his entire life how special he is and any work beyond sitting in front of a computer is beneath him.

But someone has to do it so in come the Mexicans.

We don't need Connor because we have Mexicans, Hondurans and Guatemalans that will do the work better, faster and with a lot less complaints for a little more than minimum wage. I've seen Connor get hired but by 9:00 AM he discovers the work is "to hard" and books out back to mommies basement where he can play Call of Duty and be a man.

But why should Connor work when he's got mommy's basement and an establishment reminding him it's not his fault for being unable to care for himself; it was Booosh who collapsed the economy and with free healthcare and an Obama Phone why would anyone work?

They started in drywall, moved in to dominate the framing and are now moving into plumbing and electrical in a big way and depressing wages to an extent I find shocking.

Commercial job site last week maybe 50 workers. 80% were Hispanic and I was shocked when I saw the plumbing crew, used to be plumbing was all Anglo, was nearly all Hispanic. In the basement there was some white exposed PVC drain lines with the "Made in America" stamp but underneath someone neatly printed using magic marker "Installed by Mexicans". I wish I had taken a photo, workmanship wasn't bad either.

If you're Connor and thinking of going into the plumbing trade I wouldn't because wages are going down. Miguel will work twice has hard for half of what Connor wants. Not only that but Miguel is a lot less likely to complain or see a lawyer, something Connor will do if you just look at him the wrong way, as well.

Construction Booming In Texas, But Many Workers Pay Dearly

Quote:
Just how cheap is the cheap labor in Texas? Sometimes, it's free. Guillermo Perez, 41, is undocumented and has been working commercial construction jobs in Austin for 13 years.

snip

Widespread Wage Theft

The economic collapse of 2008 brought with it an onslaught of wage theft, according to the Austin-based Workers Defense Project. At the end of the week, construction workers sometimes walk away with $4 or $5 an hour, sometimes less, sometimes nothing.

"Ninety percent of the people who come to our organization have come because they've been robbed of their wages," says Cristina Tzintzun, the Workers Defense Project executive director.
So Connor believes if he moves to Texas he can get one of those high paying construction jobs? Bwahahaha!

Connor will be lucky to find a job paying $6.00/hr under the table.

Chin up Connor, mom's basement is as good as it's ever going to get!

What I find fascinating is Connor and his parents voted for this and they are getting exactly what they voted for. It's like I am watching an entire generation commit economic suicide!

And then there are black Americans and I just have to laugh at the way they blindly support policies that are bringing complete destruction to their entire community. If I was a Grand Kleagle in the KKK I would be hard pressed to come up with a better mechanism for harming the black community than Obama and the democrats (with republican help) are doing with illegal immigration right now. But blindly they will continue to vote in support of Obama; it's really amazing.

But Connor continues to fixate on homosexual marriage, legalization of marijuana and free birth control pills as his future is being destroyed before his very unseeing eyes.

Not that it matters but note to Connor: Connor, the only thing that matters in November is the illegal immigration and that is it. Nothing else matters because if this continues your country and your future is gone forever so try to take your eyes off that shiny object and think for a moment.

To all RWNJs on CD, Hispanic does not equal illegal.

Nice summary of how scewed millennials are.

I don't feel very sorry for them, though. They're living and will continue to live exactly the lives for which they voted. They'll be debt slaves, and tax slaves to support the flood of uneducated and non-skilled immigrants who likely will need public assistance support for life, and the low-income workers who will lose their jobs to the immigrants who will work harder for less pay.

Indeed, it is.

It's frustrating, and Connor should be concerned about that, too, because Connor and his millennial cohorts will be tax slaves to pay for the pubic assistance Blacks will need more of as their jobs continue to be taken over by illegal immigrants being allowed to stay in the U.S. and given work permits.

Excellent post all the way around! Someone needs to talk sense into the millennials and their equally idiotic parents. They have refused to think through the consequences of their actions.

The young are stupid.

As they get older they wise up and become more conservative.

Same as it always was.

So true! Our contracted pay rates go down every year and if we dont acceipt the new rates a lesser quality company will undercut us and take the contract. Performance? Not as highly regarded as cost.

From what I have personally seen on job sites 75% of them are.

Largest job site I was on in the last 10 years had 800 workers at the high point of construction. On this $400 million project all, and I do mean 100%, of the dry wall installers and finishers were Hispanic and I would estimate 75% of them could not speak a word of English.

So you can get as cute and snarky and cute as you want but at least 75% were illegal.

Fraudulent social security cards were rampant. They'd have em, they'd get hired and three months later when told they weren't right they'd come in with a new one the next day.

What really amazed me is when you asked where they were from it was most often Guatemala and not Mexico.

Since you like the so much here's some for you

I think working on that trust issue Dems have would be the first task to tackle.

From Vox - "In 2008, Barack Obama's campaign promised "change we can believe in." And young voters did believe in it: 2008 saw the third-highest turnout among young voters on record, and Obama captured an incredible 66 percent of their votes (by contrast, Al Gore and George W. Bush tied 48-48 for the youth vote). Here, finally, was a president young voters could believe in.

Five years later, young voters have stopped believing. A poll by Harvard's Institute of Politics found that young voters' trust in the institution of the presidency has dropped from 44 percent in 2010 to 32 percent now. In other words, Barack Obama's presidency has broken young voters' faith in the presidency."

Millennials are losing faith in the presidency. Good. - Vox

I strongly suspect you libs have helped create a generation that will end up more conservative than anything we have today. Obama ruined them early with his promises about big government. He lied, and just like Nixon destroyed the Boomers faith in the GOP, he's destroying the Millenials faith in the Democrats.
I thought I should ask when VOX Amplification got into the news business .
