In other news, banks and jewelry stores just love it when various people walk in off the streets bearing firearms.

No more bullying than a bunch of yahoos flash mobbing an establishment with a bunch or ARs and Kalashnikovs.

Haha. Yeah, a bit overboard.

Nobody "forced" Chipotle to do anything. Businesses get out their charts and graphs to see what maximizes profit.

If banning guns brings in more customers: done. If blue cups over red cups brings in more: done.

Businesses aren't moral or social entities. Their goal is to make a profit.

Chipotle did not ban guns yet. Wishful thinking and weasel words don't trump the law.

The incident was in Texas, and any business that wants to ban guns on it's premises in Texas must post certain specific signs in accordance with Section 30.06, so these are called 30.06 signs.

They specify exact wording, size, color, placement, etc, and any business which fails to comply has not banned guns on it's premises.

YMMV

After a couple of bean burritos you won't need a gun. You'll be weaponized until tomorrow, at least.

You can go home and put two in your skull after eating that garbage. No need to do it in the store.

No it doesnt, you dont have a right to carry a weapon in a private establishment in any state.

The requirement to post a sign is to protect the consumer from persecution.

The requirement to post a sign simply invites criminal activity. It is similar to the kid with the "kick me" sign someone taped to his back in school. Who do you think has the greatest chance of being kicked? They may as well hang a "rob us" sign on the window.

I conceal carry a loaded firearm in my local Chipotle all the time, I've been doing it for years and I don't plan on stopping regardless of what their statement said. Their food isn't bad at all, I'm not going to act like some typical hypocritical liberal fool who claims they suck because they made a political statement I don't agree with.
