Why not? Perhaps it has everything to do with the fact that the N word was used to humiliate and de-humanized Black Americans. Why else would anyone use it? And if you get a kick out of offending people, perhaps there you are the one who has issues. Only those who have very low self-esteem want to intentionally offend other people.
If it is such a stupid word, then why do you want to use it so bad?
If above is true, why does the young black community embrace the word? I can't understand how a word can be horrible from one person's tongue, yet complimentary from another's.

Maybe I enjoy 'offending' people?
Maybe I get a kick out of watching liberals going into that faux outrage mode that they're known for .. over a stupid word?
God I so wish you would come to Watts and walk up to the first person you saw and call them the N word, just to show them what free speech is all about. Tell him "It's a legitimate word"
Better yet, go into the local Indian bar on a Saturday night and walk up to the first young buck you see and call him a Redskin. Tell him that in your opinion it's not a racial slur and you have a right to use it. Odds are you'll be picking your guts up off the floor, toot suite.
Why is it that people who wouldn't dream of using the N word feel it's not only acceptable to use a word with the same connotations to native Americans, but believe it's actually feel a battle worth fighting over?
Did you feel the same way when society gradually decided the N word was racist and offensive? Did you cling to it with the same desperation? Did you have to be dragged into polite society kicking and screaming?
WTH is the matter with you people???
Meanwhile high schools on Native Amaerican reservations call their sports team "the redskins" so obviously the term is not as universal as you and the other rabid alarmists claim.
