That's not an alternative in many places in the US and the environmentalists will lose their minds if you try and start putting up dams in the places you can.

I don't think that will fly. Hell in cali they won't even let farmers water their fields to save some damn minnow. Then you got the windmills chopping up birds all year long. I'm sure it will be big oils fault when some bird goes extinct that was chopped all to hell by the windmills. So it goes with greenies though.
