You're aware, aren't you, that no cures for anything have ever been found using embryonic stem cells? The only cures or therapeutic benefits anyone has ever found, were through using adult stem cells. So your statement above is highly misleading at best.

It did not order the closure of the base, it ordered that a report on alternate venues be created. Its a perfectly valid executive order.
