It's not funny. It's just further confirmation that the GOP, DEM & the President do not want to control the border. NONE of them have any intention of ever getting it under control. Fend for yourselves.
What? This president has been in place for 6 years. When was the last time he enforced the immigration law?
Post 69. There is no need to pass another bill. Obama has all he needs.
Again if that's true what were conservatives doing on tv for weeks calling this a humanitarian crisis that was overwhelming the border patrol's man power and facilities and that threatened to over run border states with diseases and criminal gangs.
This was the rhetoric of conservative after conservative on this issue.
If the President has all he needs, why are conservatives in the House staying over to try to pass a bill with more spending?
This is all bizarro world fantasy type thinking coming from conservatives.
It's almost unheard of for the Speaker of the House, the Majority Leader, and the Majority Whip to all be solidly behind a bill carefully crafted by their own party and then have the bill blow up in their own faces without the other party ever getting a crack at it.
...but it happens.
Why? That's mostly speculation right now.
The legal help is being provided by The South Texas ProBAR Children's Project, an ABA group of lawyers and paralegals who work pro-bono, and do not charge the government.
Not sure about the medical and dental services, someone else may chime in.
edit to add: Digging around, it appears there are religious groups (notably Texas Baptists and Catholics) serving as umbrella organizations for volunteer medical providers. The Texas Interfaith Center also serves as a centralized point for a large number of organizations providing funds and volunteers for legal, medical, dental, food, clothing, and other assistance.

Yes, he has no intention of enforcing the immigrations laws. The rest of the Democrats aren't going to enforce them either NOR are the Republicans. Take a clue, they don't care.
Ted Cruz rallies GOP against border bill; House delays vacation
I know Cruz went to a good college but why the voters listen to him is beyond me, he is incapable of intelligent decisions. If this is a crisis then do something. Rick Perry called out the National Guard because he says it is important, yet congress is going on vacation until September. How exactly do they go back to their constituents and tell them this can wait until September.
Quote:
On a day that was supposed to signal new leadership in the House, Speaker
John A. Boehner was plagued with the same old GOP infighting Thursday when he
was forced to abruptly cancel a vote to approve $659 million in emergency
funding for the border crisis because conservatives – spurred on by Republican
Sen. Ted Cruz -- rallied against it.
House leaders were resigned to the outcome, but other Republicans in the
House majority -- wary of leaving town without taking any action -- forced an
emergency meeting to reconsider the measure. A short time later, leaders
announced that the House would remain in session on Friday to tweak the bill and
try again, forcing lawmakers who had expected to begin their summer break to
cancel plans to leave town.
