What happens when people (domestic and foreign) stop accepting "the full faith and credit of the United States government"?

They will receive over $400,000 in benefits. Take the difference times 77 million and you get the idea.

If there was a simple choice between funding welfare (of all kinds) for illegal immigrants and funding baby boomers in retirement I'd take the immigrants. It will do much less damage to our economy.
So it's all about dollars and cents to you? You would fund illegal foreigners but not our own citizens? Unbelievable!

True-

Thus the initiative of the BRICS to create another fiat currency and forming thier own version of the IMF. I doubt that the rest of the world will let the US go on its money printing party forever.

But we aren't a household. We are a country.

But just to play along -- that 'household' is sitting on enormous gold reserves, oil reserves, tons of goods and services, and has the full-faith-and-credit of the world's largest banks.

But according to the GOP and others, the head of the household should refuse all raises and even go to their boss and say 'I can't make my bills...how about a pay cut?' Because every time the Right whines about taxes and cuts revenue, that's what they are doing.

It seems the left always forgets this point and is blind that the rest of the world is taking action and will topple USD as the reserve currency.

Yes, we are that stupid. And this will continue until we have a situation completely out of our control that we can't pay the bill for. Then there will be rioting.
