"ValuJet is a safe airline, as is our entire aviation system," said Clinton's transportation secretary, Federico Pena. 'Safety is our highest priority,' echoed ValuJet president Lewis Jordan. But in the weeks after the crash a major scandal unfolded, showing that corporate greed was responsible for ValuJet's crash*and that the FAA had been involved in a major cover up. Finally on 18 June the FAA shut ValuJet down indefinately, admitting that it had found 'multiple shortcomings' and 'serious deficiencies' in its safety procedures.

Note to self.

Maybe it was the healthcare worker who treated him when he was sent home to start with.

I was just fixing to post this little tid-bit.

This patient was also in the low risk pool, as opposed to the high risk poll, of those with direct unprotected contact.

I agree 100%. None of the other direct-contact viruses seem to spread so quickly. Why are so many health care workers getting sick? They were all careless? Something doesn't add up.

That is secondary. How many healthcare workers in the US have experience dealing with a level 4 biohazard ?
You don't get that experience with a lecture, a handout and a flow chart poster.

Someone's not revealing what they suspect or what they know.

Nope. This person was behind the scene, with secondary contact.

It is now clear that protective gear is only partially protective. Health care workers would be justified to refuse to come anywhere near an Ebola patient. On the other hand, this hospital bungled other aspects so it is possible that they did the protective measures wrong.

Don't you remember that ?

That was before Sawyer proved them wrong.

Now if you want to pick this thing to death and demand exact wording I don't have it.
But tell me you don't remember the CDC calming us with that phrase ?

And they also told us as another calming statement that Ebola makes you so sick that it would be obvious.

You want a name..here's the name: Dr Isabelle Nuttall (WHO).
Perhaps you should review what Dr Nuttall actually said... and by the way, Sawyer was not infectious when he flew. But, I suppose there is some fun in spreading irrational fear, huh?
