Watch Live: First Case of Ebola Diagnosed in the U.S., CDC Confirms - NBC News

Sound like an American not a visitor from Liberia. The right is desperate to spin this and blame illegals.

"The patient is an adult with a recent history of travel to West Africa. The patient developed symptoms days after returning to Texas from West Africa and was admitted into isolation on Sunday at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas," the state health department said in a statement.

Wanna hear something REALLY scary? Cant remember where I heard it this morning, but I did hear a story that some scientist or other is claiming that Ebola can be transmitted to humans by dogs, who will show no symptoms and do not catch the disease. but can pass the virus to humans.

This SOURCE is from the CDC, and seems to confirm what I heard on the news.

They are bound to get a lot of mileage out of that one.

Fortunately, here in the US we don't have anything resembling that level of ignorance or fear of health care.

Oh wait...

Finally, justification to fence off/quarantine/otherwise completely isolate and contain Texas. Bout damn time.

But seriously, we are so much better equipped than Africa to handle such things. This is nothing to worry about, if we take measures necessary to keep it from happening again.
