Well, what can I say. I have a muslim acquaintance with whom I used to discuss our respective fundie religious mothers and laugh at them.
I used Malala as an example of a muslim that I might vote for. Dunno how she feels about gays, but to say she does not support women's rights is ludicrous.
Oh you mean the Malala, the girl that was shot in the head and almost died because she wanted an education?
I wonder if the people who voted yes to a Muslim president understand that that would mean a person who believes that woman don't have the rights of a man? I wonder if these same people understand that a Muslim president is anti-gay.
Tell that to the Muslim friends I had at Ohio State or the Muslim Professor I had there. Just like not all Christians have the same beliefs, not all Muslims have the same antiquated beliefs.

Did you?
You might as well have a poll asking if you'd vote for a Leprechan if he held your beliefs. A true Muslim President and the Constitution/BoR cannot co-exist. Sharia law would be sure to follow.
Well, it's an opinion, everyone has one. While it may make life easier to throw, say, conservative white guys into a single bin of "bad people who must be hated", it also narrows possibilities and results in premature thought ossification.
If you are truly worried about sharia law, why not look for muslims who reject it and support them?
It wasn't so long ago that the question and controversy was would you vote for a Catholic President (Kennedy) and would you vote for a Mormon President (Romney).
Keith Ellison: Democrat. I don't hold the same beliefs as him so I wouldn't vote for him.
André Carson: Democrat. Carson wants Madrassa schools. A religious school for the study of the Islamic religion,... Carson wants the Koran should be the “foundation” for American schools
