Sounds good in theory and they are likely going to send in ground troops once Bagdad Airport is overtaken by ISIS in a few weeks. But it is easy to say we should send in ground troops when it is someone else doing the fighting. How about if it was your son or your brother? Or maybe you?

Please reply to my poll.
Any poll outcome can be skewed by the questions posed. How about:

No- we should not put any US boots on the ground.

I do not however have a problem with any Congressman or Senator or President in favor of boots on the ground going in and being on the front line.

That's not my decision and would support their choice either way. If I was young man again and had no responsibilities it's certainly something I would consider.

Don't have a son, but no, I wouldn't *send* him. Whether or not to go would be *his* decision, not mine.

Same thing would apply for my daughter, by the way.
Exactly what I would say.

I took it to mean, would Mom and Dad be OK with their sons or daughters choosing to go fight
That would be their choice, and for me yes if my son decided to re-enlist and go back to fight terrorists then yes I would support him.

Along with some of the other suggestions, I would like to have seen an option something like...

Would you send your son to fight IS in Middle East or would you prefer your grandson to fight IS in his own country.

Send? My son is an adult. I have no business sending him anywhere.

I'd do what I could to convince a son or a Daughter to not volunteer.

Default Would you send your son to fight ISIS?

Absolutely NOT!

If the Saudis, Jordanians, etc want ISIS taken out, and they should since it's their own back yard, then they need to get busy. It's their problem and their fight, not ours. We shouldn't even be spending resources on the current air campaign.
