Wait for it, it will come.

Then what would you be willing to do?

I would not "send" my son (if I had one) but if he was in the military and ordered to go, I would support that.

If I wasn't an old fart, I would go.

All wars are about combatting tyranny. The current one is about killing tyrannical terrorists trying to impose stone age principles today.

Pull your liberal blinders off.

When I see waves and waves of ISIS invading our shores in an attempt to occupy or take over our country, then you can count on myself and my son to fight! However; I don't see this happening any time soon. But under no circumstances do I support our continued meddling in the Middle East, propping up regimes, funding rebels, or fighting their battles for them at the expense of American lives!

In the mean time why not let those already impacted go after ISIS or those most likely to be attacked next who are in the region. Saudi Arabia for example.

Sounds good in theory and they are likely going to send in ground troops once Bagdad Airport is overtaken by ISIS in a few weeks. But it is easy to say we should send in ground troops when it is someone else doing the fighting. How about if it was your son or your brother? Or maybe you?

Please reply to my poll.
"Would you send your son to fight ISIS?'

When people enlist in the military they do so voluntarily. IF mys son CHOSE to do so, that is HIS decision.

I don't know of ANYONE who "sends their sons". Do you?

More parents should instill this value into their children at an early age.
No, it's never for the gain of the federal government. It's for the gain of corporations, and that's not anything new. "Daddy Warbucks" was not named "warbucks" for nothing.

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives."

Major General Smedley Butler, 1933

We are all damn lucky the "greatest generation" didn't have the attitudes of the majority in this OP's poll.

Or maybe some of you would rather be speaking German right now
