The sea has been rising since the end of the last ice age, what the land is doing is another story.
The differences you see in the rates and which direction it is moving in those graphs is due to land movement. The stations are static positions on land and do not account for land movement. The Battery in New York is a pretty good indicator because it's a relatively stable geographic region.
The one thing that is common from any station, whether the rate is going up or down it is steady and predictable.

"As though there was not enough evidence of global warming, the National Academy of Sciences came out with a study that sea levels are the highest in 6,000 years and that the rise began about 150 years ago when humanity started pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere."
Stop right there, rising sea levels may possibly be a side affect of global warming, but is not by any means "evidence" of global warming.
See, this is why the majority of people doubt these claims. It's almost like it's a science dreamed up by Junior High School science students.
About time. Like said above "the oceans have been rising since the last Ice age". And they will go back down with the next one. The sea has been rising in Venice, Holland, New Orleans, and other places for hundreds of years.

Hey, I was five miles away from the ocean, and 396 feet in elevation, when I built my home a decade ago. Now I am 8.0778E-7 miles further away from the ocean, and 3.28084E-5 feet higher in elevation!

NOBODY knows what the sea level was 150 years ago. Nor 6000 years ago.
And the so-called changes we have now are.... smaller than the margin of error.
These people... Have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

Much of Eastern North America (think PA, NY and OH) are still rebounding from the weight of the glaciers, causing the seacoast to sink.
The ocean will rise, in absolute terms, until there is no land above water, given enough time.
I dunno about that because we have much greater forces at work here with the tetonic plates. For example they have found sea shell fossils near the summit of Everest.
