Numerous reports/tweets shows large amounts of looting taking place. Here's my count of what's happened so far:
Cell phone store
Restaurant windows broken into, Fire department window broken
Family dollar being looted
Walgreens being looted
Aaron's being looted
US bank broken into
Grocery/meat market being broken into
McDonald's windows broken
Beauty World shop being broken into
Lmao..a thug walked by Hannity's man in the field and said "F the Police and F FOX News" on live TV and dumb ass Hannity had the reporter repeat it...at least the thug was half right
And then that camera got knocked out. Hopefully the reporter and camera man aren't hurt. CNN just showed people throwing things at their black reporter and some camera men.
Why would this be a liberal or conservative issue? Why would this be a black or white issue? I'm white. And I think this is so terrible.
Any fair thinking person who values American rights would find this a farce. An Injustice. What a step backward for the U.S. Shame. Shame. Shame.
Because conservatives generally side with how the situation would be interpreted in terms of the legal system. In this case, in light of the jury decision, that reality has again been validated. Liberals generally eschew the politics of "equal treatment" under the law for "equal outcomes" under the law. The latter perspective calls for unequal treatment under the law, or in this case undue political and federal attention that would not have occurred if it wasn't a white cop killing a black man. In any other case, no grand jury would have been convened because, as implied by the media in the run-up to the decision, it was clear that the evidence would be found to be in favor of the officer under the equal law. Liberals are willing to see and accuse "institutional racism" because of differing racial statistics, and put the blame on the shoulders of innocent people such as Wilson, instead of taking responsibility for the behavior of the individual or in-group in question. In essence, when race is involved, liberals insist on extra-legal consideration and pressure to persecute individuals that they pillory for political purposes and to, however illogically, sanctify individuals who instead might be responsible for their own situation. In this case, a strong-arm thief that seemed to make an attempt on the officer's life before he was killed. In essence, liberals are most interested in perceived social justice and not legal justice. What they don't acknowledge is that justice administered to criminals, who have victimized innocents, is the real social justice.
It's a black and white issue because this would have not made it out of the 4th page of the local St. Louis paper if it wasn't a white officer killing a black (criminal) male who had just made an attempt on the life of the officer. The media has clearly made it a black/white issue, the protestors have clearly made it a black/white issue, black community leaders have made it a black/white issue, and the president has made it a black/white issue. Even after Wilson was exonerated, Obama insisted on using the unjust protests of the black community (remember the injustice that Wilson's career is de facto ruined) to agitate for federal action based in racial issues in police departments. This is in light of the fact that the protestors were in the wrong to basically destroy their community assets and incite further, undue racial tension surrounding a justified shooting. The fact that you ask how it is a black and white issue either tells me that you are disingenuous or live in a dark, confined space such as perhaps under a rock. With all due respect.
The "fair person" that you get is the grand jury and the prosecutor. That process found that the "fair" decision was to be in favor of Officer Wilson. That's fair. With all due respect, you aren't an attorney, judge, nor did you sit on the grand jury and listen to the evidence and criteria for indictment. Therefore, your concept of "fair" in this case isn't informed nor valid. That being said, I have no idea how anyone, with a mind for the legal system, could think that an indictment of Wilson would be fair given the known facts of the case.
The step backward for the USA comes every time the media unjustly inflates non-stories to incite racial tension for political and social disruption purposes. It breeds intense social animosity and distrust beyond what already exists. It's a crime in my mind, and the media should be held fully accountable. The masses are essentially unsophisticated and can be and are manipulated to believe anything that the media chooses, even in clear cut cases such as this. That can't be allowed to continue if the USA is to "move forward". Indict the media if you need to channel your energy toward a social justice cause.
