Actually - many Democrats oppose Obama's amnesty.

Fire up your brain for a moment -- why did Obama wait until after the election?

Because the solid majority of Americans oppose it.

This could clearly backfire on Obama - as we have him on record saying what he wants done would be illegal for him to do on his own coupled with the solid majority of Americans opposing his plan.

Americans Clearly Oppose Amnesty for Illegal Mexican Immigrants

P.S. if I am not mistaken, the polls that don't attach Obama's name to the topic often show something along the lines of 66% to 71% opposing Obama's plan, since the sheep and robots don't have a knee jerk reaction to support anything Obama. This could hurt Democrats in 2016 if the congressional democrats follow along in a flock.

I think Obamas goal was to get Republicans to pass the bill they have been sitting on for nearly 2 years. It seems the GOP is not going to do that, and now Obama will have to either do EO, or do something else. It seems GOP is divided on how to play this. They might have to wait until next year before they can do anything.

And some of the extremists in the Democratic Party are in a full tizzy about their king ignoring the constitution and the will of the people. The democrats have become the party of left wing zealots

I've noted that the only way the (D)'s continue to fall further behind in 2016 is if Obama continue's to act in a petulant manner. It seems he is intent on doing just that.

1. why would he 'go it alone' superseding the constitution and the laws

2. anything he writes as an EO, will be non-binding...meaning they mean nothing...he CAN NOT just write a law into existence..... for bills MUST pass congress, then he can sign it:
Quote:
Executive orders and proclamations are directives or actions by the President. When they are founded on the authority of the President derived from the Constitution or statute, they may have the force and effect of law . . . . In the narrower sense Executive orders and proclamations are written documents denoted as such . . . . Executive orders are generally directed to, and govern actions by, Government officials and agencies. They usually affect private individuals only indirectly. Proclamations in most instances affect primarily the activities of private individuals. Since the President has no power or authority over individual citizens and their rights except where he is granted such power and authority by a provision in the Constitution or by statute. The President's proclamations are not legally binding and are at best hortatory unless based on such grants of authority. The difference between Executive orders and proclamations is more one of form than of substance . . . .[1]http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Executive_Orders_and_Proclamations
3. why are the liberals so gung-ho on amnesties for individuals who have committed ILLEGAL actions
Quote:
since 1964 liberals fronted by ted kennedy have been pushing amnesty for illegals down our throats, and we americans are tired of it

The 1986 Immigration Reform Act that rewarded illegal aliens with amnesty was known as the Simpson-Massoli bill of 1986. When first drafted, the bill was suppose to make it a criminal offense for aliens who were not authorized to work in the United States a federal criminal act and that it would be a federal crime for employers to hire illegal aliens.

Here's what happened, the Democrats in Congress refused to sign on this bill unless the 1.5 million illegal aliens already thought to be in the country illegally and would qualify for amnesty were rewarded amnesty. (reason being, if these illegal’s were to become U.S. citizens, guess what party they would most likely vote for ? )

So the amnesty part was added on to the bill other wise the Democrats wouldn't sign on. And to muffle the out cry, the American people were told that this amnesty was a one time thing and would never be repeated again.

Well the bill passed both houses of Congress and President Reagan signed the bill. In the inner circles of the administration, Ronald Reagan was to have said he may have made a mistake by signing the bill.
Guess what ?, it wasn't 1.5 million illegal aliens who would have qualified for amnesty. It turns out that over 3 million were rewarded with amnesty, mostly because of the fraud that took place during the amnesty process. Phony rent receipts, phony pay check stubs, liberal judges expunging criminal records of illegal aliens!!!

And after the bill became law, you had Teddy Kennedy watering down the enforcement part of the bill that had to do with enforcing and prosecuting employers who hired illegal aliens.

why is it the liberals CONSTANTLY push for amnesty???

liberals constantly want to give the illegals amnesty

9 amnesty bills writen by....ted kennedy....8 passed

you might want to COMPLETE that picture...there have been 9 amnesty bills, 8 PASSED, since 1965....ALL authored by Ted Kennedy

In 1986 Senator Kennedy said, ‘This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this.’

Here is Ted Kennedy commenting on the 1965 immigration bill,Quote
“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission.” End of Quote.

In 1994, Ted Kennedy’s Section 245(i) Amnesty gave legal residence and jobs to 578,000 illegal aliens. It was a temporary rolling amnesty primarily for extended family members of immigrants who instead of waiting in line, come on to the country illegally.

In 1997, Ted Kennedy’s extension of the Section 245(i) rolling amnesty was followed by an increasing flow of illegal immigration.

In 1997, Ted Kennedy also won an amnesty for close to one million illegal aliens from Central America. Illegal immigration sped up some more.

In 1998, Ted Kennedy won an amnesty for 125,000 illegal aliens from Haiti.

In 2000, Ted Kennedy got the so-called Late Amnesty, legalizing another 400,000 illegal aliens who claimed that they missed out on Kennedy’s 1986 amnesty.

In 2000, Ted Kennedy also won the LIFE Act Amnesty for an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. It was another reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty...an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens. Illegal immigration accelerated.
again done though congress on passed/failed bills signed or vetoed

4. Obama...."""I will BY PASS CONGRESS"".... unconstitutional, and grounds for impeachment

Somebody needs to DO something about the Immigration problem, Congress obviously refuses, so Obama DOES something. There's a problem with that?

Looking at the poll numbers regarding this, there must be many more republicans than democrats in our country.

Explain why Obama doesn't enforce the laws we already have instead of illegally nullyfing them by his lonesome and making up his own.

The GOP Congress chooses to oppose other people as opposed to pro-actively resolve issues. When they had control of both chambers of Congress and WH, they had a chance to resolve immigration. They had a chance with health care, tax reform, education and everything else, but they prefer to do nothing, until someone else makes a move and then they make a lot of noise opposing it. They are good at opposing, and lousy at governing.
