Isnt that the root of the issue, if parents where more in childs life the turn out would be tragic?
MIchael Browns father was in his life only 4 years.
Browns parents should have raised him better not to rob a store and have better morals?

It does appear to be as simple as that. If Brown hadn't robbed the store. If he hadn't attacked the cop.....
I think there is more to it. There seems to be a simmering hatred for authority in this country which starts at the top. More and more of our lives are being restricted and directed by our government and I think people are upset about it.
Authority starts at home with good parenting but too many kids are so spoiled today that they don't know how to react when they venture out into the real and dangerous world.
It starts and ends in the home, but there's more. Years ago the church provided guidance, teachers had authority, law enforcement was respected, you knew who your neighbors were, fathers were in the home. All of those unpinnings provided a foundation for people to work and live under.
Now fathers are absent, fewer go to church, teachers have little authority, cops are disrespected and progressively hamstrung, you don't know who your neighbors are. What foundation do kids have? What can they believe in? What rules do they need to follow and who guides them successfully from childhood through to adulthood? Who teaches them values, morals, ethics, respect, self-respect, the rules of engagement when it comes to learning how to become contributing, valued members of society? Who is there to back them up when they mess up and direct them as to how to make better choices? Who teaches them right and wrong? Who teaches them the value of an education and hard work?
All of these kids are born as blank slates. They all are ready for the world to guide them into moral personhood. If there is nobody there - no structures in place - no underpinnings that they can count on - what do we THINK is going to happen?

The three pillars of society...family, religion and school.
In each of them the government is taking over as a replacement.
As the foundation for society continues to crumble just look at your government as the reason why.
Governments always want total control and they are well on their way to success.
