Taratova, Unions priced themselves into their tragic free fall position. Obama had nothing to do with that, nor should he stop it. Free market worked, unions overprice themselves, corps seek more economical means of production.
Again, where would the money come from? Stop trying to change the topic.
No, this is not about fixing it. It should have not happened!! You still don't get the cause and effect. Only some know about connecting the dots.
I am not changing the topic. The democratic party has changed drastically. There is no one watching out for the working man. Can't you read and comprehend my beef with this situation. It will get worse not better. This is just the beginning. Those who can decipher how the parties have changed can connect the dots..The dems are fighting for gays, illegals and keeping blacks angry to keep them in the democratic party. It was not like this .
This is what happens when the working man is not represented by any president including Bush. They will continue to be trampled down. Unions were sold down the river when after the Unions backed Clinton stabbed them in the back, he bought votes with opening up his candy store and offering anything for a vote to pass Nafta. I was against Nafta and both parties were for it. This was the opened door for job loss for Americans. Good bye to a healthy tax base. Hello welfare .
It is just not politically correct to stand up for the rights of the American people today..Brain washing ... We all are suppose to turn into robots and allow anyone to enter into the country illegally . That is the message. No birthright, no seniority , nothing for the American people. We are nothing today. No representation at all.

These aren't high government pensions, it is blue collar.
The change has nothing to do with federal government pensions. It has to do with reducing the amount of taxpayer dollars used to pay the pensions of private sector employees when those companies cannot afford to pay the pensions they promised. This federal welfare program for private sector employees with pensions contributed nearly $40 billion to the deficit last year.
This.
And to think Taratova keeps calling Obama a "communist" and a "socialist" for NOT requiring the fed gov to subsidize these private sector pensions. I don't think he/she understands the definitions of those words....
You are the one who is not getting it. You are demanding the government guarantee you get 100% benefits, even when the pension companies can't afford it. Where is the money going to come from? You are also trying to derail your own thread. Maybe you see your error, but are too proud to admit it.
The government did not fulfill their duty to the American people. They let illegals take over the construction industry and trucking industry and the Unions were hurt for years. This is the outcome of not upholding the law for Americans.

How thick are the answers I am getting. You don't have a clue of where I am coming from yet I post where my stand it. Can anyone read and comprehend anything I post? This is fruitless. Obama is for the government workers, not the capitalist workers. I am not asking for a bailout. I am talking about why this happened. Unions have been dumped on for years by both parties. There is no representation for the American workers just the illegal workers.. can anyone read that and understand?
Sorry folks, but these last few pages remind me again about 'not relying on another for your earthly security, nor trust another for that matter.' Reliance is not saving/investing outside of any promised pension. Trusting is not monitoring how ones outside pension savings/investments are managed by another, whether a Vanguard, or Fidelity, Sally's Local Bank, or Joe Stockbroker.
I know my attitude seems hard, maybe even Ayn Randish. It is reality though.

I am asking a very simple question, and you won't answer it. Where would the money come from. If the Dems lean too far to the right for you, then you'll have to find someone further left, like the cpusa maybe.
All I can say is that I hope people will see what is happening and learn to not reply too heavily on others for their retirement. Pension companies are running out of money, and people like you demand the government bail them out. It is not the taxpayers duty to bail out private companies.
