Well you assume too much, if you were confused then you should have asked. But if you think you don't need insurance, have fun with that.

From the way you question it I doubt it.
Grandfather means when something doesn't meet the minimum requirements, but is still accepted because it existed before the rule.

And example:
A building without an elevator is grandfathered in and isn't required to put in one for handicap because the building existed before the law went into effect.

You will go to any extent to defend your subsidy

A grandfather clause is a provision in which an old rule continues to apply to some existing situations while a new rule will apply (EX: IF YOU LIKE YOUR HEALTHCARE YOU CAN KEEP YOUR HEALTHCARE OBAMACARE) to all future cases. Those exempt from the new rule are said to have grandfather rights or acquired rights. Frequently, the exemption is limited; it may extend for a set period of time, or it may be lost under certain circumstances.

OBAMA ---> A wolf in sheeps clothing and a liar.

That is what I just said, what about your old policy not meeting new rules do you not understand about grandfathering?

Whatever. You said it. Just like a flaming liberal to cover up what he ACTUALLY said.
Never said that I don't need insurance. But I should be allowed to select the coverage level and eschew any benefits that I DONT need like maternity and childrens' dental.

Which would indicate that ACA realizes that it is crap and is forced to "grandfather" existing policies that actually work and are popular when their agenda is rejected.

Then how do you explain the fines when they cancel your existing policy but do not buy a policy that they want you to? Intimidation and financial threats to achieve their goals is not being compelled?

Only in liberal land.
