This thread is so....foolish. You know that bottom 50%? It might...just might...help them pay more into the system if the top 1% wasn't taking all the increased income decade after decade.

It's the bottom 50% that don't pay but scream someone else needs to pay more. What did you expect, people to just roll over and hand over their money? Everyone needs to pay. Otherwise government will keep taking more and more because the lower 50% will help them.

Fascism is NOT right-wing. The "tax the rich more" zealots are a perfect example of those who advocate/support fascist behavior, fitting exactly the profile of authoritarianism, totalitarianism, and dictatorship.
I'm going to guess that you're completely unaware of who the true fascists are because you're either really young, or have been seriously under- or mis-educated.

Everyone does pay, there are taxes on almost every single type of purchase. You're all butt hurt because they don't pay enough if your eyes.

My COMBINED income taxes are averaging 21%. And I am the bottom 50% percent.I'm NOT a 'taker' because I'm NOT ELIGIBLE for a fricken thing! And I pay sales tax every time I spend at Walmart, put gas in the car, and the list goes on.

Ok so did we ever define what the bottom 50% entails? Under what income are we talking?
Elimination of the "earned income tax credit" and overly generous child tax credits (both Republican ideas) would be a good start.
And of course close all the tax loopholes corporations and the ultra rich use too, right?
