Romney said that he would create 12 million new jobs. His economists new that it would happen anyway.

His economists never saw the housing collapse coming, so why listen to them? Because they are economists?

Sorry, but the talking points you're trying to push aren't going to be accepted, except by the most gullible.

[quote=RaymondChandlerLives;38353103]Two years ago, the struggling economy was all on Obama. Now that it's improving rapidly, Congress gets the credit? How shameless are you people? Then you have right-wingers who insist the economy is still in the crapper:

The facts are:
1) When the economy crashed in 2007, the dems controlled Congress and Senate and GW was President so 2/3 Dems failure, 1/3 Republican.
2)When we ran up record deficits and the economy sucked in 2009-2010, the Dems controlled all 3 branches so 100% Dem failure.
3)When the economy started turning around in 2011, Republicans controlled the House so 1/3 Republican success and 2/3 Dems success.
3) Now we have Republicans controlling House and Senate and Dems the President so 2/3 Rebublicvan success and 1/3 President.

Fair enough?

Actually, Romney said he'd have unemployment down to 6% by the end of his first term. Gingrich promised $2.50 gas.

We'd be worse off with a Republican in office. No duh.

Correlation does not imply causation. The housing crash that wrecked our economy occurred before the Dems took Congress in 2007. That is not debatable.

The massive deficits and crappy economy of 2008-2010 were a direct result of failed "hands off" GOP policies. Low tax revenue, huge job losses, unpaid wars--the Bush era Republicans own that.

The current 59-month streak of private sector job growth began before America had a brain fart and gave the GOP control of the House in 2010.
