Obama and Netanyahu have never gotten along - that's no secret. Beat's me why a Community Organizer thinks he can go up against a long time/experienced Commando - and win. Netanyahu has a lot more experience (both political and warrior) than President Stompy Foot - he knows exactly how far he can push it and he knows exactly how Obama will 'over' react. Calling the PM of Israel a "chicken poop coward", making him leave by the back door of the White House at the trash pick-up area and other snipes has NOT worked out well for our Community Organizer Stompy Foot Prez.
It's a lesson he has not learned in over 6 years - if fact, I think Obama's treatment of Netanyahu is what keeps getting Bibi re-elected. Obama has lost Jewish vote - he went from 78% in 2008 to 69% in 2012 and it's also hurt the rest of the Democratic Party. They don't really want any part of a "Boycott".

Bernie Sanders won't show up, but so what? There will be a FULL House when Netanyahu speaks to Congress - even Bernie didn't vote against the Senate Resolution to Welcome Netanyahu to Congress, neither did ANY of the other Democratic Whiner Senators.

Senate Unanimously Welcomes Netanyahu to America
No Senate Democrats block measure backing Bibi’s speech

The Senate on Thursday unanimously passed a resolution welcoming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to America and endorsing his speech before a joint session of Congress.

No Senate Democrats sponsored the measure, which attracted 50 Republican cosponsors. However, none attempted to block its passage, signaling that support for Israel and Netanyahu’s message has outweighed a pressure campaign by the Obama administration to sabotage the address.

“The Senate warmly welcomes the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on his visit to the United States, which provides a timely opportunity to reinforce the United State-Israel relationship,” the resolution states.

Congress “eagerly awaits the address of Prime Minister Netanyahu before a joint meeting of the United States Congress,” it continues.

The lawmakers go on to reaffirm their “commitment to stand with Israel during times of uncertainty” and vow to “strongly support Israel’s right to defend itself from threats to its very survival,” according to the measure.

All that said ....... I won't be surprised at all to see the Congressional Black Caucus stage a "walk-out" or at least not show up. Same is true for some member of the Progressive (most Leftist) Caucus, but most will sit politely and hope to escape any repercussions from either Jewish Donors OR TeamObama. I can't see what more TeamObama can do to them, so they are more likely to worry about Jewish Donors who always get their knickers in a twist when the Prime Minister of Israel (like him or not) is Snubbed in the USA.
Very well said, the spat between Obama and Netanyahu will be over soon and relations will remain close as usual. The left does not want Netanyahu re-elected, so they can walk out all they want. Republicans are worried about Obama's Foreign Policy will end with an Iranian nuclear weapon and exacerbate tensions with other U.S Allies.

So unless Iran starts recognizing Israel as an existing country, remove its threat of genocide and stops spreading its hegemony and violence through proxies, Netanyahu will make this speech under any political conditions.

This is interesting because it wasn't all that long ago that the President of Mexico addressed congress regarding the immigration laws of Arizona. So apparently, the situation is really only outrageous when the speech in question violates liberal rhetoric, because for all the leftists protesting this speech not a one of them protested the Mexican President giving a speech in congress against the laws of one of our own states.

I say all this outrage over Netanyahu is nothing but unethical partisan posturing on the parts of Democrats. Otherwise, where were their protests over the other speech? So get off your absurd self righteous soapbox. When the President of Mexico slammed the Arizona immigration law on the floor of congress, the Democrats gave him a standing ovation. You all look like total hypocrites protesting this now.

The threat of Iran out weights any political indifferences in the White House or the Knesset.

The logistics of the invitation is a Republican issue, as Netanyahu foresees an opportunity to firm his stance on Iran.

"Ten House Democrats and Sen. Sanders have committed to skipping the speech. No one from the White House will be attending the speech, as the conspiracy to pressure and embarrass President Obama is turning into a humiliating defeat for Boehner and Netanyahu."

Ten House Democrats and one Senator constitute a humiliating defeat for Boehner and Netanyahu?

On which planet?

The Arizona law was a state law, NOT A federal law.

Netanyahu is coming to OUR capitol building to call out OUR President on Iran.

Apples and Oranges and shame on you and anyone else that supports this act of stupidity on the part of John Boehner.

The right wing has sunk to yet another low as far as disrespecting this President, and I, a moderate Democrat who is a social conservative, am apalled.

This is another reason why I could never be a Republican, even though I agree with them about half the time. They dont believe in compromise and are more loyal to their idealogy than to America.

Senator Marco Rubio has a message for those members of congress who would boycott the speech. If you have strong feelings on this topic, you should watch this.

Why is the Obummerman so afraid of Netanyahu's address to Congress?

Could it be that Netanyahu will reveal some of O's determination to spread Islamism across the middle east?

Or something he's doing to promote Iran's development of nuclear weapons?
