She isn't a conservative, either. SP is simply flaky. There are many good conservatives, but she isn't one of them. I cannot fathom anyone who has run for the GOP or Democratic POTUS nomination, and who has lost, who would quit the political position they already had. It is reprehensible to do that.

I have no issue with quitting when one is voted in to a higher office, but to quit w/o a higher level political job, that is disgraceful behavior.

I realize that the concept of principles is a foreign one to many liberals, but many of us conservatives actually follow our principles. I realize you all think of principles as something to use and discard whenever it is politically expedient, but we actually believe in ours. That means it is perfectly consistent to fully support Romneycare and fully oppose Obamacare. There's no hypocrisy there because one is state and the other is federal. What is okay to do at the state level is not okay to do at the federal level. That is what the 10th amendment says. I realize that you all try to gain political points by portraying states rights as code for racism, but that's your rhetoric. Don't confuse your rhetoric about what we believe with being the truth about what we believe. We actually do believe in states rights. So there's no irony in the GOP nominating the governor who delivered Romneycare while opposing the ACA.

Now RomneyCare is a different story. On the campaign trail in 2008 Romney was touting RomneyCare as a model for the country to use. It was only after the Democrats did just that, and Conservatives went wild, that he backed off.

It's hilarious that the guy who successfully implemented it and campaigned on expanding it to the federal level would be forced by the right wingers to then spend all of the 2012 campaign denouncing it. You can't make up that kind of lunacy.
Ahhh....

So when Obama flip flops it's all hunky dory but when Romney supposedly flip flops it's a big issue.

More leftist hypocrisy at it's finest indeed......

Not as bad as about Romney demonstrating in support of both the Vietnam War and the draft that manned it yet running off to France instead of having the courage of his alleged convictions.
