Bakers do not have to provide cakes, but if they do they must do so across the board.
The reason they did not say that is because that is not the question they were answering. The question they were answering is whether or not the government can force a business to do something that goes against the owner's religious beliefs.

If bakers decline to provide wedding cakes for same-sex weddings for all who request such, based on the bakers' Constitutional right to exercise their religion, they're not picking and choosing. They're declining all such requests.

They are providing wedding cakes for those whose wedding doesn't violate their religion. SCOTUS just recently confirmed that business owners have that First Amendment right.
