Wow are you really trying to justify that cops actions.

O.C."All Scott had to do to not be shot was "

encounter 99.99% of cops in that town. The 99.99% who understand firing w/o you or others being in imminent deadly risk is against the policy your employer set..that you agreed to follow.

For not following it and for executing a man posing no imminent threat, Slager is properly caged ..tonight and for decades to come.

But unlike pds which saw protests, yours has handled a horrific murder superbly.

Well bob, they would have been extremely Stupid not to have responded in a swift manner....what with the ''horrific murder'' having been 'caught' and recorded on Camera and shown on TV, to the entire World.

No need to compliment the Department just yet. That SC PD is STILL the PD employing at least one, or more CORRUPT Officers.

Okay??

Nonsense, MMM05. Long-term, they had to act, but I did not expect the process to be completed within 3 days. Now I do think all officers actions related to the case need to be reviewed, with any found assisting Slager, fired and charged with aiding and abetting, but I am hardly looking for that to occur fast.

Oh please, stop justifying. Even if he was armed, he was running away and not a threat. You don't shoot someone running away from you. Stop blaming the victim. Would you be ok if a family member was in this situation. Of course you wouldn't

Really? You don't think that an armed person running away from a cop might be a threat to the community or that he couldn't turn around and shoot Slager?

No I don't and why would you. There was nothing to indicate this at all. Let the cop get off his ass and run after him if he was such a threat. He could have easily tackled him instead of firing how many shots....8 in the back.

I predict that when all the facts come out, the lynch mob mentality of those who want to hang Slager will be shown for the ignorant bluster that it is.

It's getting worse. There are a lot of people who are talking about the remark his "adrenaline was pumping." That doesn't necessarily mean he was happy he shot a man, only that he was in a very stressful situation. An adrenaline rush is a built-in defense mechanism that enables a person to fight or take flight when in a dangerous situation. Hearing a cop using this expression is not uncommon.
