I love me some James Taylor. I honestly couldn't care less what his political views are.
His Christmas album is one of the best albums ever released. I only listen to it at Christmas time and every year when I play it for the first time, I light the fire, hunker down on the sofa with an afghan, turn off all the lights so the Christmas lights are the only ones twinkling and think to myself, "Ahhhhh, this is the life!"

After hearing his views on Obama. I will not be listening to him anymore. And throwing out all his CD's I have. I cant believe people think Obie is a great president. He was just something new to try. Minorities voted for him thinking it will get them more free stuff. He will always be known as the Free Stuff president.

Like I said, I don't care what his political views are. I don't buy James Taylor's music because of his political views - I buy his music because I like his music.
I like Tracy Chapman's music too and I'm pretty sure she and I wouldn't agree on a lot of political issues. I don't care and I'm quite sure she doesn't care either.
These "stars" and their weird urge to pontificate on their various political viewpoints...it's sort of pitiful. Some of them are so ill informed that they should be embarrassed.
They kind of remind me of an ex boyfriend. He was sho nuff easy on the eyes, and the chemistry was there, but one day he was going on and on about something involving race, and I just looked at him and said, "Why don't you shut up? I like you so much better when you're not talking."
