Hey Bob, for once we agree at least as far as what the the engineer had to do with this.

I wonder why the other trains hit by projectiles didn't speed up to over twice the speed limit before slamming the emergency brake.

It's a little early to start pointing fingers at anyone or anything, in my opinion, so your poll is pointless. We don't have enough facts to go on at this point in time. As for the engineer not remembering, doctors said that is common with concussions so that alone is not enough to cause suspension.

By the way, I think that anyone who goes into any kind of investigation without an lawyer is a complete idiot, and if morons are dumber than idiots, you would be an absolute moron to make any statements with out an attorney were there have been fatalities.

That's the thing, this is a very odd set of circumstances so ruling out something bizarre happening at this point would be very premature. Smithsonian channel has a show about air disasters, a lot of those crashes are the result of some bizarre malfunction of the plane that leads to a chain of events including human errors.

That crash in the everglades years ago for example started out with the malfunction of a light that indicated if the wheels were down, while they were trying to fix the light and determine if the wheels were down and locked apparently one of the pilots bumped the yoke disengaging the auto pilot. Neither of the pilots were paying attention to flying the plane assuming it was on auto pilot and by the time they realized how low they were it was too late.

I too think the poll doesn't give a relevant option as medically the engineer suffered a concussion which can cause lost of memory.
