Around here white people tend to be asleep at night. Those up and about are the majority Hispanics and the increasing blacks coming to this area. I know this because I worked for a long time on the graveyard shift. The people who I observed were not working, or sleeping.

The minute a minority leaves his/her house, that person is bombarded with White culture - from the language being spoken (English), to the food, clothes, entertainment, etc.

Blacks in America identify with being black because their history and ethnicities were wiped out through slavery and its aftermath. There is nothing connecting me to other white people in this country. I am proud of my Irish heritage but see no reason to collectively identify with other "white people".

Is there Chinese Heritage Night...... in China? They have things like New Year and Moon festival,etc but nothing about a specific generic "Chinese Day" in China do they?

If a Mexican Aztec Indian leaves HIS home IN Mexico; he's also blasted with "white" culture since that culture did start in Spain which is a "white" country.

Not around here. White people are bombarded with Hispanic culture - from the language being spoken (Spanish), to the food(taquerias on practically every other corner, not to mention the sushi joints and Korean BBQ places). I'm not sure what white clothes and entertainment are, but around here there are non-whites wearing baggy pants and playing "music", if you can call it that.

It's really tough being a minority in America. I wonder why so many keep moving here?
