We need to get that flag off of state property as quickly as possible because as any idiot can tell you all of the violence and racism will immediately cease to exist. And all will be well in the world. That flag just makes these idiots go out and kill people. So it must be removed immediately to save mankind.

I'm offended when I see the Mexican flag being flown all over the place because to me it represents the illegal invasion of our country and the ethnocentrics that support them. Should I demand that they stop flying it? Um no, we live in a Democracy with freedom of expression. To some a particular flag may mean one thing and to someone else quite another thing.

that is the base.
Got any support for that? I call B.S.

Republicans are not against removing this flag. But they do support leaving it to the people of South Carolina to make the decision to remove it. Which after Governor Haley's speech today, it appears pretty clear they are enthusiastically prepared to do.

Here is a link to her speech, which was quite excellent and right on the mark. Everyone should listen to it, especially everyone commenting in this thread. It is about 10 minutes.

I have been in a lot of Walmarts, never seen a Confederate flag. Guess I wasn't paying attention.
However I recently visited the Cyclorama (look it up) in Atlanta and lo and behold they were selling the Confederate flag. I believe all the employees are black and they didn't seem to have a problem. No, I didn't buy one.

The Confederate flag had nothing to do with the actions of a drug-addled, mentally ill moron.
