No, you shouldn't. You build assets together and have children to consider. Getting married should be harder to do, though, if you ask me. There should be classes to take that will bring up issues people in love rarely talk about. Some churches do them and I applaud them for that.
"Getting married should be harder to do, though, if you ask me."
Why? I don't want someone else determining what a marriage is to me, and when I should terminate it. If I believe it should last 5 years and 5 days I have that right.

You can't force folks to stay together because of children. It never works, no matter how many times
people try that game. I agree, PARENTS should talk to their kids more about marriage and especially
about whether to have children right away. But state sponsored classes, I'm not for that. Just more
governmental crap to muddy the waters.
Wow, are you telling us when California said, "No" to gay marriage.......all those people were church goers?
Hmmm, and people say the churches are losing people or are you caring your rant to far?
No, it's more a generational thing. Over time the support for the institution will grow because young people support it in such large numbers. You can't deny that religious groups have been at the forefront though.
Many people would tell you it's because the oral and anal sex acts of that sexuality are incredibly gross.
If that's the reason for banning SSM, then we need to ban heterosexual marriage too. Because on any given day, it is statistically likely that quite a few more straight people will perform both anal and oral sex than gay people.
Besides, I doubt marital status has anything to do with whether a couple chooses these sexual acts or not.
If the churches have the right to show black and white couples the door when they want married, why can't they do the same to gay couples?
Who says they can't?
