Interesting. I always thought conservatives were happy about lower gas/oil prices. Remember when conservatives chanted, "Drill baby drill?" It was their mantra.
Now, they don't want gas prices to go down because Obama is president? LOL!
If he ended child hunger, they'd complain that it will overpopulate the world.

You guys have been telling us for ages high prices were because of speculators..
Yeah, you guys were stupid then.. Just like you guys ran around making excuses why high gas prices were good, or Obama couldnt do anything to lower then..
Happy day for you. Obama has done more to lower that price of gas than GWB did his entire two terms!
The four basic laws of supply and demand are:
If demand increases (demand curve shifts to the right) and supply remains unchanged, a shortage occurs, leading to a higher equilibrium price.
If demand decreases (demand curve shifts to the left) and supply remains unchanged, a surplus occurs, leading to a lower equilibrium price.

The left wants to increase gas mileage on vehicles and make everything more energy efficient as possible. Wouldn't you agree that is a good idea?
There has been a dip in the price of crude, and that certainly means its possible that it could be sustained and the price of gasoline could dip below $2.
But it hasn't happened yet, we'll see if it does. there are other factors at play in the price of gas. CNN is a pretty vocal cheerleader for President Obama, they seem really anxious to make his Iran deal seem advantageous to this country. If they can attribute lower prices to the deal, they will.

It is not just CNN. CNN is reporting the news from financial analysts.

Oil prices could fall again in 2016 if the sanctions against Iran are lifted, because this would allow a “significantly increased volume of Iranian barrels to enter the market,” the EIA report said. “If and when sanctions are lifted, the baseline forecast for world crude oil prices in 2016 could be reduced $5 to $15 per barrel” from the forecasted prices.
No, it's dictated by supply and demand. Iran may play role in lowering oil prices even further but it's US producers putting pressure on OPEC that has lowered oil prices. OPEC is keeping supplies high hoping to kill off the US suppliers. In fact Iranian oil lowering prices even further could have some severe long term consequences for the price of oil. If the US suppliers go bankrupt they no longer have reason to keep supply high. you ,may pay a little bit less now but could end up paying a lot later.
