A religion and belief system that supports and demand killings of various people like non-believers of that religion and homosexuals, preaches hate, violence, anti-freedom, and permitting rape and justify barbaric acts, as well as women having no freedom and rights; shouldn't that religion and belief system be banned in the United States, a country that is pro-freedom and tolerant? A religion that calls for that is a threat and should be regarded as such and totally against American/Western value.

Anyone can preach/teach whatever they please, no matter how insane or destructive.

If a specific person commits an insane or destructive act, then that person can't use religion as an excuse for getting off.

That's how the Constitution was written, it's worked reasonably well for the last 200+ years, and I see no need to change it.

You want to spend the rest of your life and all your money into trying to amend the Constitution, preach/teach away. I think your idea is insane and/or destructive, but you are free to pursue it however you wish - as long as you don't commit any crimes.

Sure!

Start with the U.S. government then go from there.

I don't think any religion should be outlawed, but certain actions can.

If you are a Jew or Christian, you should consider the implications of such a law. There are things in those religions that could be construed as "unacceptible" and the whole religion could be banned.

You can't ban the religion itself but you can ban acting on those beliefs. What people believe is their personal choice. What they do as a result of those beliefs are not if they infringe on the rights of others.

It would be unconstitutional to ban any religion.

BTW, there are passages in the Bible that support pretty much all those things. It's just most Christians choose not to act on them. Most Muslims choose not to act on the bad things in the Koran either.

I think you confuse the Hebrew Bible (followed by observant Jews/Judaism) with the New Testament (Jesus/Christianity)

Who gets to make the decision which religions and belief systems are to be outlawed? (Oh, I'm well aware that you want to ban Muslims, but I'll play along and pretend you are really being objective and not just targeting one specific religion you don't like.)

I'll start. I think Christian fundamentalist/Tea Party's beliefs preach hate and intolerance and non-freedom against homosexuals and non-Christians and other Christians who don't share their rigid views, and are trying to restrict women's rights. Can we put them at the top of the banned list?
