My problems with immigration in the US and abroad are couched in traditional liberal concerns. Things liberals USED to care about before it became all about being offended and "calling people out" for doing innocuous things. In the US I actually care about working conditions for Americans, wage deflation, worker's rights, the solvency of a strong social safety net, reducing poverty ... these things are challenged by unchecked mass illegal immigration.
In Europe, they will have to deal with those issues too...WHILE ALSO dealing with the challenge of embracing and welcoming a culture that has literally tried to conquer the continent for over a thousand years through force. A culture that does not share European values. If you're going to do that, you need to do it measured and slowly, so the people "of that culture" have time to shake it off through assimilation. Creating instant ghettos to exist side by side the dominant (for now only) culture is NOT conducive to that task! There will be no incentive.
The new term being developed for the type of progressives and liberals who do not stand for traditional western progressive values are the "regressive left"... they embrace anything "not western" or "not white" just for the sake of it being "not western," or "not European derived" because they think the west and European derived things are inherently bad/evil/racist/oppressive. Even if it means embracing/excusing/welcoming ideologies, people, religions, etc. which don't share their goals! As long as they are not "traditionally" white... or not "of the west" then they are automatically deferred to.
Boy are they in for a rude awakening someday. I wouldn't care so much if their moral failings didn't implicate EVERYONE ELSE!
The left and liberals have been spouting this nonsense ever since the 1960s and even before.
That nonsense has slowly seeped into the mainstream as the leftist propaganda machine has taken over our schools, universities, media and arts institutions.
Liberalism and leftism today are nothing other than racist hatred of whites and and Western Civilization -- the very civilization that, alone and in spite of its faults, created individual freedom, democracy, economic prosperity and human rights.
The left so romanticizes the Third World that it refuses to see any of its faults.
Or more to the point, it sees them, but it doesn't care.
Hating whitey and anything civilized is priority number one for them.

I beg to differ. These immigrants DO NOT WANT TO INEGRATE. A lot of the "muslim refugees" say that women are not equal to men.
They also state that they do not want to learn german.
What about these refugees? Do you not think some ISIS militants are slipped into these hoards of people? There are major security issues here, people are burning their passports? How will they be identified?
Something to think about..
They will be easy to identify when they speak their jibber jabber and wave a black flag with chicken scratch on it.
I don't know what these refugees expect? They are REFUGEES??? They are not immigrating citizens.. If you watch that whole video, the refugee complains that the internet is SLOW. The other explains that the food is no good and they are feeding it to the dogs...Really? Do they even have internet in syria at the moment? I doubt it...
What I see here are a bunch of ungrateful people that expected some paradise when they arrive. Free Apartments, money, food, cars, and jobs.
Germans worked HARD for what they have and built after WWII and they shouldn't have to just hand over to these ungrateful refugees.
They really need a reality check and need to go home if it is not good enough for them...
I really wonder if they would have have a chance to complain back in syria without some sort of reprisal from their own government...
I can't wait for the German winter to hit.
If the refugees don't like their tents, there are plenty of camps with barracks from WW II in Germany that could be used.
