You want Americans to learn to speak French? What a waste of time.

And BTW, we have lots of handsome politicians. Handsome is meaningless unless you are in Hollywood.

I'm not against what you're saying. The people claiming this is impossible are apparently unfamiliar with the EU. So it's possible.

My question is why?

The European Union has a long list of reasons as to why it's formation made sense. A tighter alliance with Canada and the US has one reason, which is 'it would be cool.'

I'm not really seeing the point to doing this. I love Canada. The Americans who hate on Canada is why 'American' is synonymous with fat and stupid around the world, but creating a deeper alliance with Canada for the sake of alliance seems unneeded.

Also, why would we adopt French/English bilingualism? It wouldn't be necessary as most of Canada speaks English, and really, America has no practical use for it. Spanish is of more value here than French.

Which country do you live and supposedly want to teach in?

If the grass is greener - move.

Shouldn't take much, it's all free and sunshine everywhere else!

You can't just move to Canada without permanent residency card... Proposing good changes doesn't mean people should leave the country

Yes of course as millions already do and it's the second most taught foreign language in the US and the world.
