If they give up their smart phones for the 4 years of college they can go for free. I wonder how many could do it.

How about this, you will be exempt from this. Actually the better idea would be like K-12, we can leave it up to each state to decide what they wish to do, and then backwater red states can opt out and continue to charge students high tuitions and see how that works out for everyone so you can keep your property taxes from going up any.

Go ahead..guess which demographic would make up those getting a free college education on taxpayer dime ? No AA allowed..strictly grades like Europe does.

Yeah..it will NEVER happen.
I support continued education but readily admit that this will be a huge obstacle.

Well I get that backwater right wingers will fight edumikation tooth and nail, but that wasn't what I was asking.

So you are assuming African Americans are too stupid for college?

So do I and I do like the European system. That puts a lot of drive into students over there to get good grades. And financing the best and brightest is a plus to the country's future.
Also makes it affordable for the government.

But such a sensible idea like that would never fly in the US.

ROFLMAO...do you not see the scores for local, state, national and international tests ?
Can't admit what is public knowledge.

You're no better than Keely with your answers.
All you need to do is add "absolutely!" after each sentence.

I've argued more than once that many who argue for systems like other countries have don't want to do what other countries do to have them.

Something tells me that hiking the property taxes in NY or California won't go over too well either.
Have you a clue how much you would have to raise property taxes to pay college tuitions for all students?
I'm willing to bet you don't pay property taxes.
