I'm against the Patriot Act and I believe the solution to the refugee problem is to quit bombing their homes so that they have to leave.

Republicans are so anxious to block all syrian refugees from settling in their states, but they have given free reign to the NRA to wreck havoc with guns.

I will let you in on a little secret. Immigrants to this nation, have armed themselves for 250 years.

The first gun my dad bought(not already had) was bought through mail order from the Sears & Robuck Dept. Store. It came in the mail, no hoops to jump through and the only wait, was for the mail man.

Restricting your ability to obtain a weapon to defend yourself, has been the federal governments job one, since the Civil War.
Look how far they have succeeded, regardless of thou shall not infringe.......

You can make a law that would ban refugees from owning guns. It's unlikely to stop the ones that want to but that could be done.

That isn't what is being done here.

No need to let me in on this "little secret." I already know this. Remember, I live in Texas.

I think it would be a useless law. I was simply pointing out that non citizens don't share the same rights as citizens.

That's true but it really doesn't apply to this law.
